Steve Collinson and Richard Ellison as directors of the company, share over 60 years’ experience in the container industry, working with many UK market leaders.
We are committed to introducing a quality on site service to assess, inspect, fit CSC plates, fit unique data plates and issue certificates for each of your containers. We are sure this process will be of benefit to your company and to your customers.
You will be able to evidence to your customers, your auditors and your insurers, that your fleet is maintained to a consistent, documented, high standard.
We are also pleased to be able to offer you Post Incident Investigations. We will carry out a root cause analysis to allow you to discover the underlying or systemic, rather than the generalized or immediate, causes of an incident
Richard Ellison - Director
Richard has been involved with container inspection since he realised there were too many instances of negligence and not enough support to prevent them.
Having spent over 30 years working with all the major waste companies in the UK in refurbishing containers of all types.
It is safe to say that Richard is an expert in this field.
Having formed AK Container Technical Services Ltd in 2019, Richard now passionately promotes good practice in order to prevent avoidable incidents/accidents.
Both Richard and Steve (Co-Founder) are IICL certified.

Steve Collinson - Director
Steve has been in the waste container refurbishment industry for more than 30 years.
During that time, having seen many containers that are not fit for safe use he has realised the need for a robust container inspection to ensure all containers are compliant and inspected to CHEM / IICL standards.
With the formation of AK Container Technical Services Limited in 2019, Steve is able to promote and champion safety with regard to waste containers. Each container has its own unique Data Plate (for waste containers), or CSC (Container Safety Certificate) plate (for rail and sea containers), which when inspected are date stamped to provide clear evidence of their inspection history.
Both Steve and Richard (Co-Founder) are IICL certified.
